Osborne Chapel

The Clarice L. Osborne Memorial Chapel was moved stone by stone from the village of Sproxton, England, to serve as the spiritual center of the university. The chapel was dedicated at Baker in 1996 by Lady Margaret Thatcher, former British prime minister, whose father had preached in the building.

Mabee Memorial Hall debuted as Taylor Hall in 1908 and is where President William Howard Taft delivered the first public pronouncement of the federal government for world peace on September 24, 1911. When the original building burned, it was restored in 1947 as Memorial Hall to honor those who had served in World War II.

Parmenter Hall

Parmenter Hall was the first building constructed on the campus grounds. The foundation was laid in 1865, and the cornerstone ceremonies were held during commencement in June, 1866. The chief address was given by Marcus J. Parrott, the first congressman from Kansas.

Mulvane Science Hall

Built in 1924-1925 and named after Joab Mulvane, an early Kansas philanthropist of Topeka, Mulvane Science Hall continues to serve the University's science and math programs.

Case Hall

Case, the fifth building constructed by the university, is a two-story, neo-classical limestone structure located on the southwest corner of the Baker campus, between Collins Library on the north and Constant Hall to the south. This structure maintains a high degree of external integrity but has been significantly altered inside.
